These prayers for victims and survivors of sex trafficking have now been updated and split into two separate posts: Prayers for the Physical Deliverance of Captives and Prayers for Restoration. Please refer to this page for more info.
You will note that there is some crossover between the two prayer lists. I have included many verses about deliverance from enemies on both lists, because while physical captors, men who enslave, must be brought down and subdued in order for a captive’s physical deliverance to take place, there are great spiritual enemies that must be subdued in order for the soul to be delivered, set free and restored. The restoration process is often lengthy, and intercessors are greatly needed for the long, tedious, exhausting road to healing. In fact, I have found that without those who are willing to so graciously pray and intercede for my own restoration process, very little forward movement can be made. I simply cannot overstate the need for intercessors who are willing to give of themselves in this unseen, yet extremely important, life giving sacrifice.
Oh God, we ask permission to enter your heavenly court room by the blood of Jesus Christ, your Son and our advocate. We stand before you today and petition for the lives and the deliverance of _____________. According to Psalm 89:14, righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne, and Your love and Your faithfulness go before you. You are the One Who avenges blood and you remember. You do not ignore the cry of the afflicted. (Ps 9:12) You are known by your justice (Ps. 9:16), so we stand before your throne today and ask that You would ARISE Lord, on _________’s behalf and set her soul completely free from her prison today.
God, your Word states that he who sacrifices thank offerings honors you and prepares the way so that You may show him the salvation of God. (Ps.50:23) So, today, Father, we stand before You and offer our thanks to You for your unfailing love towards us and those whose freedom we seek today. For you are the Mighty One, God, the Lord, who speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to the place where it sets. From Zion, perfect in beauty, You shine forth, O God. You word says that You will come and will not be silent, for a fire devours before you and around you a tempest rages. You summon the heavens above and the earth, that You may judge your people. (Ps.50:1-4) So we stand before you today, with hearts full of thanksgiving for your love, your mercy, your justice, your perfection in beauty, your righteousness and your salvation. We call upon You today in this day of trouble on behalf of ______, to deliver her, that she might honor You. (Ps.50:14-15) We trust today in your unfailing love for ever and ever. We praise you forever for what you have done; in your Name we will hope, for your Name is good. (Ps.52:8-9)

Psalm 139:3, 7-12 – You comprehend ____’s path and her lying down, and are acquainted with all her ways…Where can she go from Your Spirit? Or where can she flee from Your presence? If she take the wings of the morning, and dwells in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead her, and Your right hand shall hold her. If she says, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,” even the night shall be light about her; indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You.” Jesus, shine your light into the darkness where _____ dwells. Bring her broken heart out into your healing light. I pray this day that you will bring her mind, her will, and her emotions out of prison, that she might praise Your name. Surround her with your righteous ones, the ones who will stand by her side, whispering truth to her heart daily, the ones who are committed to staying with her daily in her brokenness, who aren’t afraid to walk through the shadow lands until the shadows all disappear. Bring people who know your heart and know the value of just one life, that she might know the value of her life because of their staying, constant love.
Psalm 126:4-6 – Bring back her captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the South. Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. She who has continually gone forth weeping, her tears bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing her sheaves with her.” God, bring a harvest of freedom from every tear _____ has cried alone in the darkness. Bring her out of the sowing season and into the harvest season, and may her desperate tears turn to a harvest of joy as you bring her all the way out of her captivity.

He raises the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the ash heap, that He may seat her with princes – with the princes of His people.” All _____ has ever known is the dust, as her life turned to ashes around her. In this she has lost all hope. But You, God – You who dwell on high – You humble yourself to lift her up out of her ashes, to seat her among princes because she is your princess. Do this for her this very day, Lord.
Psalm 110:5-6 – The Lord is at her right hand; He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath. He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill the places with dead bodies, He shall execute the heads of many countries.” God, you are a God of justice. He will spare the poor and needy, and will save the souls of the needy. He will redeem their life from oppression and violence; and precious will be their blood in His sight.” God, you have seen it all. Every violent act done to _____, and every violent act required of her and forced upon her. You see her oppression day and night, and you see that in her tears, she has no one to help her. Rise, O Lord, and spare her, save her soul, redeem her life from oppression and violence, because every tear shed, and every single drop of blood from her broken body has been precious to you, and not forgotten.
Psalm 71:13 – Let them be confounded and consumed who are adversaries of her life; let them be covered with reproach and dishonor who seek her hurt.” Turn _____’s enemies back upon each other. Expose them and bring them to dishonor, that those who seek her hurt would be no more.

Break down the deceptions that have placed You, God, into the place of perpetrator. Show her Your heart for her, reveal to her Your thoughts towards her. Psalm 35:1-8, 26 – Plead _____’s cause, O Lord, with those who strive with her; fight against those who fight against her. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for her help. Also draw out the spear, and stop those who pursue her. Say to her soul, “I am your salvation.” Let those be put to shame and brought to dishonor who seek after her life; let those be turned back and brought to confusion who plot her hurt. Let them be like chaff before the wind, and let the angel of the Lord chase them. Let their way be dark and slippery, and let the angel of the Lord pursue them. For without cause they have hidden their net for her in a pit, which they have dug without cause for her life.
