Prayer for Captives This Week

If you need support right now, please reach out.  If you don’t have someone safe in your life to reach out to, please reach out here.  You can email me at stonescry1@gmail.com and I and others (with your permission) will pray fervently for you.  You are not alone, you matter, you are loved deeply, and there is life and light for you, dear one.  Hold on, because your story isn’t finished yet.

“Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter. If you say, “But we knew nothing about this,” does not He who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not He who guards your life know it? Will He not repay each person according to what he has done?” Proverbs 24:11-12

I’m still here….lots has been happening and I’m still fighting for healing, but haven’t felt right sharing what I haven’t quite finished grasping yet.  I’m here this morning, popping in for those friends who are burdened to pray regarding the deep darkness and evil surrounding these calendar dates.  It’s urgent that we continue to pray, especially through the next week for captives who are suffering.  If you’ve never read my Halloween post, you can find it here.

Today I just want to offer a starting place in prayer for this week:

Father, shine your light into the darkest places, exposing the evil deeds of darkness. In Your mercy, allow those who have chosen this wickedness to be exposed and given the opportunity to repent and be saved. Provide a way of escape for victims and give them the courage to take it. Pour out your wrath on this wickedness and destroy the plans of evil men and women who refuse to change their ways through angelic intervention, through weather, and through any means necessary to free those who are held captive and waiting to die. Give law enforcement leads to those who are participating in this wickedness that they may be found and stopped before their deeds are carried out. Give teachers, neighbors, coaches and friends eyes to see the pain in children who have never known any other life, and give them courage to report their suspicions. Give the children courage to tell someone and help those they tell to believe them and to act on their behalf before it is too late. Cause those who plan destruction for others to fall into the pits they have dug. Loose the armor of these wicked ones and release the captives. For those precious lives who will not continue here on earth, wrap them in the warmth of Your love and allow them to see Your face, Jesus, as you usher them home. For those who have survived, surround them with people who will love and comfort them with Your love, Jesus. Bring peace to their shattered hearts and minds and bodies, and pour out your healing and freedom over them. Allow them to break the silence and tell the truth and to be finally, truly free. Have mercy on us for going our own way and ignoring the suffering of others, and teach us to pray. Teach us to deny ourselves and follow you. Bring peace and joy to our hearts as we lay down our ways and follow you into dark places. Surround our families with your protection as we willingly engage the Enemy of our souls in this life and death battle. Above all, come quickly, Lord Jesus.
